More from Gandalf and Aragorn including a couple shots of the flake.
This was the first day of our trip into the Tolkien Group area. After camping at the trailhead Thursday night, we hoofed it up to the hut Friday morning, set up camp, and then climbed Gandalf and Aragorn. I bailed on the flake. Too sketchy for my liking. But we did the boulder on top of Aragorn which was fun.
More alpine lakes and mountain views! We enjoyed a really fun ridge ramble with some bonus scrambly sections between Gottless and Gotcha. The fact that we got super clear air, freedom from bugs, and blue skies didn’t hurt either. Highly recommended.
Took my brothers out for a little excursion in the mountains last weekend.
Not a bad little spot to spend a few days.
Summit camping is fun.
